A Note from the Founders
Once or twice in a generation, a new kind of organization emerges that makes everyone who came before it look like they were working in slow motion. Bell Labs. Xerox PARC. The early Google. Not because they had more resources — they often had less. Because they made a different bet: that the density of exceptional minds, pointed at the right problem, with the freedom to think without constraint, is the most powerful force in the history of human progress.
We are making that bet again. And we have written this document for exactly one kind of person.
Not the most credentialed. Not the most pedigreed. The person whose mind, when it encounters a broken system, cannot rest until the system is fixed — not because someone asked, but because the gap between how things are and how they should be is a physical discomfort. The person who has spent their career operating at a frequency most environments couldn't match. The person who, right now, is in a room that doesn't deserve them.
We are not building a company. We are building the template for how the best companies of the next fifty years will be run.
If you have ever built something from scratch that forever changed how the people around you worked — not because someone asked you to, but because you couldn't sleep knowing it didn't exist: read on. This is the room. There will not be another one like it.
The Company
SHAKE is the company that defined and named a new category of software: Agentic Resource Planning — ARP. To understand why that matters, you need to understand what it replaces.
For forty years, the ERP has been the undisputed backbone of business operations. SAP. Oracle. Microsoft Dynamics. Built to answer one question: how do we create a legally defensible record of what just happened? A digital filing cabinet. Exquisite structure. Zero foresight. ERP was built to answer a 20th-century question — and it does so perfectly. It tells you, with great precision and significant expense, exactly what already happened. No captain navigates a storm by reading the ship's logbook.
The incumbents see the shift. Every major ERP vendor has now announced their AI strategy. SAP has Joule. Oracle has Fusion AI. Microsoft has Copilot layered over Dynamics. The message from each is the same: we are adding intelligence to the ledger you already have. It will not work — not because the technology is bad, but because the architecture is a prison. You cannot retrofit a proactive brain onto a system designed to resist change. You cannot build a living graph on top of a static database. They are putting a jet engine on a horse-drawn carriage and calling it a transformation.
ARP is the replacement. Autonomous agents that perceive, reason, and act. A living economic graph that connects your private operational reality to the signals the world is sending right now — commodity movements, competitor filings, supply chain stress, market openings. A system that does not wait for a quarterly review to surface what your competitors figured out last Tuesday. When it detects a risk building quietly in your supply chain, it does not generate a report. It drafts the mitigation, models the alternatives, and queues the optimal response — within the governance framework your leadership has already set.
There are 400 million small businesses on this planet running blind — without the intelligence that gives large enterprises their edge. That gap is what we are closing. Within five minutes of a SHAKE demo, you will feel it close.
SHAKE is completely AI-native. Not AI-assisted. Not AI-enhanced. The distinction is architectural and it matters: AI is not a feature we added. It is the foundation everything is built on. We have no departments — only goals, owners, and systems. We do not measure hours. We measure leverage: what complexity did you permanently remove from the system? And we grow through the product itself — because a product this immediately valuable creates its own demand. That is the only distribution strategy worth building at planetary scale.

The Role
The SHAKE Alchemist transforms everything they touch.
Alchemy was the original act of transformation — turning base materials into something of profound value through science, intuition, and relentless experimentation. That is this role. Precisely.
The SHAKE Alchemist is simultaneously a systems designer, a product thinker, a customer architect, and a founder-in-training. Not a generalist — a synthesist. You do not complete tasks. You design the systems that perform tasks, the monitoring that catches when they fail, and the self-healing that resolves failure before a human ever sees it.
You are obsessed with three things in equal measure: the customer, the product, and the intelligent systems that connect them. A brilliant product that loses customers to a confusing onboarding flow is a systems failure, not a support ticket. A customer who churns is a design brief in disguise. Every gap between what a customer needs and what they experience is an automated system waiting to be architected — and at SHAKE, the product is the engine of growth, which means every system you build is simultaneously a retention decision and a distribution decision.
The best Alchemists see the customer, the product, and the system as one continuous thing — and cannot rest until all three work in perfect concert.
In a single day: sit with a customer who is struggling — not to solve their immediate problem, but to understand it so precisely that the product becomes better for every one of the 400 million businesses that follows them. Identify the seam in the onboarding flow causing the drop-off. Orchestrate the AI system that closes it. Bring the insight back to the founders. Redesign the underlying architecture that allowed the gap to exist. Do it again tomorrow with a harder problem. There is no playbook. You write it. Then you automate it. Then you rewrite it when it becomes obsolete — which it will, fast.
What You'll Actually Do
Own the customer relationship, completely. From first contact to champion. At SHAKE, the product earns the customer. Your job is to ensure that every customer who arrives through that product experiences, immediately and undeniably, the intelligence gap closing. You are their advocate inside SHAKE and SHAKE's proof point inside their world.
Turn customer reality into product precision. Every frustrated user is a design brief. Every moment of confusion is a system that failed. You translate what customers feel into exactly what the product must do next — and you ensure it gets built, tested, and deployed.
Obsess over the systems that connect the two. The onboarding flow. The first moment of autonomous value. The workflow that breaks at 2,000 customers but not at 200. The internal systems the team uses to perform. You see these seams before anyone names them, treat them as personal failures, and architect the intelligent infrastructure that makes them disappear — permanently.
Orchestrate AI to do the work of teams. You do not need to write code (but we love it too if that is a skill you bring). You need a masterful command of how intelligent systems think and how to direct them. Agents, workflows, LLM chains, automation platforms — these are your instruments. The output is a leaner, faster, more autonomous SHAKE.
Design the operating system of the business. You do not complete tasks. You build the systems that perform tasks, the monitoring that catches failure, and the self-healing that resolves it without human intervention. Every system you build should make the next human hire less necessary.
Move at the speed of the opportunity. There are 400 million businesses waiting for what SHAKE is building. Every day we are not faster, smarter, and more automated is a day that gap stays open. You treat urgency not as pressure from above but as a design constraint you impose on yourself.
Define what a SHAKE Alchemist is. You are one of the first. The standard you set, the work you produce, and the judgment you demonstrate will define this title for every person after you. You are not filling a role. You are creating a new kind of professional for a new kind of company.
Who You Are
The best technology organizations in history shared one organizing principle: hire only the people who raise the bar for everyone around them by simply being in the room. Not the most experienced. The ones with the most powerful minds and the most honest relationship with hard problems.
That is the only standard we apply. We are not describing a background or a resume. We are describing a quality of mind. You know if this is you. You have always known.
01 Fluent in the Language of Intelligent Systems — You do not need to write code. What you must have is a masterful, intuitive understanding of how AI systems think — how agents reason, how workflows chain, how large language models can be orchestrated to do the work of entire departments. You design with AI the way a great architect designs with materials: instinctively, precisely, and always in service of the larger structure.
02 Constitutionally Curious — You read primary sources for enjoyment. You have strong, carefully reasoned opinions on things most people have never considered. You find intellectual stagnation physically intolerable. The hardest, most underexplored corners of every domain you enter are the ones you are most drawn to — and you go deeper than anyone else in the room, every time.
03 Customer-Obsessed, Systems-Minded — You cannot hear a customer struggle without immediately reverse-engineering why the system permitted it. The distance between what a customer needs and what they experience feels to you like a personal design failure. You close that distance not with effort but with architecture — systems that make the failure structurally impossible.
04 Pathologically Ownership-Minded — You have never once said 'that is not my job.' When something is broken, you experience it as a personal failing until it is fixed — not because someone is watching, but because you cannot tolerate the gap between how things are and how they should be. You have a documented history of solving problems you had no prior experience with, and producing results that made people wonder how long you had been doing it.
05 High-Agency by Constitution — You do not wait for permission, direction, or a complete brief. You propose, execute, and report. You treat ambiguity as a design space, not an obstacle. In a company racing to reach 400 million businesses, you understand viscerally that the cost of waiting for someone to tell you what to do is measured in markets, not minutes.
06 Low Ego, Maximum Candor — You will disagree with the founders. You should — and we will be disappointed if you don't. The best ideas at SHAKE will emerge from friction between exceptional people who care more about being right than about being seen to be right. You argue with full conviction. You commit without reservation. You hold no grudges. Your only north star is the best outcome for the company and the 400 million businesses depending on it.
What We're Offering
This is not a job. It is a seat at the table where a category is born.
The equity we offer is not a benefit. It is an acknowledgment that the people who join SHAKE at this stage are building this company as much as the founders are. We are building toward $100B on the back of a market — 400 million SMBs — that has never had access to real intelligence. You will be compensated in cash and in ownership commensurate with that bet. If SHAKE wins, you win. Completely and proportionally.
The formation that no school can give you. The skills that will define leadership in the AI era — AI-native operations, product-led growth at planetary scale, building autonomous systems from zero — are not taught anywhere. They are built by doing. You will build them here. What you learn in your first year at SHAKE will compound for the rest of your career.
Intellectual density unlike anywhere else. Every person at SHAKE will be the most formidable mind in whatever room they left to join us. You will be made sharper every day simply by proximity to your colleagues. This is the environment you have been looking for — the one where you finally have to work to keep up.
Complete transparency, from day one. You will be in every room that matters. You will know the strategy, the finances, the real decisions, and the honest assessments. There is no committee between you and the truth of how the company is being built.
A mission that is worth the sacrifice. Closing the intelligence gap for 400 million small businesses is not a product roadmap item. It is one of the most significant economic leveling opportunities of this generation. The tools that give large enterprises their structural advantage have been out of reach for the businesses that employ most of the world. We are ending that. You will be part of the team that does.
The chance to be studied. The organizational model SHAKE is building — completely AI-native, product-led, leverage-obsessed, founder-minded at every level — is new. It will be written about, replicated, and taught. The people who built it from the beginning will be the ones who understand it most deeply, and carry that understanding into everything they build next.
The Honest Part
This will be the most demanding professional experience of your life. No onboarding program. No assigned mentor. No protected ramp. You will be expected to produce in week one, at a standard set by founders who have given everything to this mission.
The kind of person we are looking for will read that and feel something closer to excitement than apprehension. The best minds are not looking for comfort. They are looking for conditions that force them to become more than they currently are. The formation available here — building AI-native systems from zero, scaling product-led growth to planetary scope, defining a category that did not exist before we named it — cannot be purchased at any school or acquired at any established company.
We are looking for people who read the above and felt their pulse quicken — not people who can convince themselves they did.
How We Hire
We do not conduct standard interviews. Standard interviews are optimized for people who are good at standard interviews. The person who performs best in a structured behavioral interview is rarely the same person who thrives in an environment of radical ambiguity, extreme ownership, and zero bureaucracy. We are not looking for the former. We have designed our process to find the latter.
We use a Leverage Audit. The question we are trying to answer is not whether you can solve a problem — it is whether you instinctively reach for the solution that removes the most complexity, permanently, with the least ongoing effort. That is leverage thinking. It is the defining cognitive trait of every SHAKE Alchemist.
We will give you a real, live, unsolved problem inside SHAKE — a gap in the system between our product and our customers, a workflow that is costing us speed, a customer experience that is not yet what it should be. You will have 72 hours to:
Diagnose the root cause. Not the symptom. The actual structural failure — and a clear articulation of why the system allowed it to persist.
Propose a leveraged solution. Not the most obvious fix. The architectural response that closes this class of problem — with implementation path, AI tooling, and an honest assessment of tradeoffs.
Build something. A working prototype, a functional agent, a system diagram that proves the concept. The translation from reasoning to making is the core skill we are evaluating.
Present your thinking. In whatever format reveals how your mind works. A Loom recording of a working tool. A precise three-page memo. A live demo. The format you choose is itself a signal.
We are not grading you on whether you arrived at the answer we expected. We are watching the precision of your diagnosis, the elegance of your solution, the honesty of your uncertainty, and the velocity of your execution. The candidate who says 'I don't know X, so I assumed Y, and here is how I would validate it' is more interesting to us than the one who papers over uncertainty with confidence.
We study every application personally. Your resume is the least interesting thing you will send us. The most important question we will ask you is this: what is the most impressive thing you have ever built, figured out, or permanently fixed — and what did it teach you about how the world actually works? That answer — honest, specific, and yours — is worth more than every credential on your CV combined.
